Thermal Focus: the specialist in thermal imaging cameras

Thermal Focus is a certified partner of FLIR for professional thermal cameras and other measuring instruments. We have very extensive expertise with our 2 ISO-certified level 3 thermographers. In addition to offering cameras, we also provide customized advice and you can contact us for training.

At Thermal Focus, we have a large number of demonstration cameras. If you would like to see the Si2 series or some of our other FLIR cameras at work, please feel free to contact us for a demonstration or for more information.

FLIR Si2 Series

The FLIR Si2 series is designed for the applications listed below:

  • Compressed air and gas leak detection.
  • Detect mechanical failures such as bearing problems.
  • Detect and analyze partial discharge or Partial Discharge (PD).

The various cameras are very user-friendly. As a result, you do not need an experienced or trained technician to perform measurements with this camera. There are 5 different cameras, each with its own specialization:

  • FLIR Si2-LD camera
  • FLIR Si2-PD camera
  • FLIR Si2-Pro camera (combination of Si2-LD and Si2-PD)
  • FLIR Si2x-LD camera (ATEX certified)
  • FLIR Si2x-Pro camera (ATEX certified)

FLIR Si2-LD camera

The FLIR Si2-LD ultrasonic camera helps you detect pressurized leaks and mechanical failures up to 200 meters. This allows you to detect any problems quickly, thus saving costs. This camera also has built-in measurement and cost analysis for industrial gases. Some examples of these gases are: ammonia, hydrogen, carbon dioxide or CO2, methane, helium and argon.

Some advantages:

  • Increased safety and fewer costly repairs through early leak detection.
  • Increased efficiency and customer satisfaction through fast and accurate leak detection.
  • Prevent downtime with mechanical fault mode so that faulty bearings are detected in a timely manner.
  • Is not affected by background noise allowing inspections to be performed while still in production.
  • Gives an indication of the cost of leakage on an annual basis.

FLIR Si2-PD camera

The FLIR Si2-PD ultrasonic camera helps you detect, locate, classify and assess PD problems up to a distance of 200 meters. In addition, this camera identifies PD problems that are 30 times smaller than those detected with previous generations. You can assess PD problem severity and PD type classification on the camera itself using the built-in software.

Some advantages:

  • Reduction in emergency repairs through simple monitoring of your facilities.
  • Early detection of PD problems in electrical substations.
  • Defects translate to ultrasonic sounds in the first stage, making this the first technique that can detect defects.

FLIR Si2-Pro camera

The FLIR Si2-Pro ultrasonic camera helps you detect possible leaks and mechanical faults as well as partial discharge. This allows you to save costs. As with the Si2-PD camera, the Si2-Pro camera also allows you to assess the severity of PD problems and the classification of the PD type on the camera itself.

  • 2-in-1 solution which means you do not have to invest twice if both applications are relevant to you.

FLIR Si2x-LD camera

The FLIR Si2x-LD industrial ultrasonic camera helps you detect pressurized gas leaks and mechanical faults up to 200 meters. This allows you to detect any problems quickly, thus saving costs. This camera also has built-in measurement and cost analysis for industrial gases. Some examples of these gases include: ammonia, hydrogen, carbon dioxide or CO2, methane, helium and argon. This camera is also ATEX certified.

Some advantages:

  • Gives an indication of the cost of leakage on an annual basis.
  • Faster and more accurate than other leak detection methods.
  • Prevent downtime with mechanical fault mode so that faulty bearings are detected in a timely manner.
  • Increased safety and fewer costly repairs through early leak detection.
  • Is not affected by background noise allowing inspections to be performed while still in production.
  • ATEX certified for Zone 2 (gas) and Zone 22 (dust).

FLIR Si2x-Pro camera

The FLIR Si2x-Pro industrial ultrasonic camera helps you detect possible pressurized gas leaks and mechanical failures as well as partial discharge. This allows you to save costs. As with the Si2-PD camera, the Si2x-Pro camera also allows you to assess the severity of PD problems and the classification of the PD type on the camera itself.
